I am back to blogging to announce good news. With increased work force, we can now provide 20,000 words of SEO content a day. With the present range of writers, I could successfully complete a content project of 24,500 words in less than 24 hours. Finding New Clients is Daunting Task

In this spot i want to focus on the aspect of difficulties in finding new clients for our business. When  you are in job (9 to 5 regular job), you need not worry about finding new clients for your business, unless you are in that particular department. But when you are maintaining a team of writers i.e. if you are in content writing business, you should necessarily worry about finding newer clients all the time.

It is because of the reason that you will find increasing competition (as like in any other field) among the bidders trying to get the work orders from clients. Most of the clients in this business will not be providing regular bulk work and hence you will be in need to look out for multiple clients or bigger clients to keep your business running continuously or for holding your writers with you (by keeping your writers engaged all the time).

We need to develop a brand name first, then we can easily find new clients. Also, the prospective clients should be able to offer greater or same payment as that of the existing clients. Otherwise, it would become difficult to manage your work and firm structure. I have appointed two persons for continuously looking out for newer and bigger clients so as to match our potential output by our writers. Although you may get huge number of replies from different clients, only few among them will turn out to be prospective and fruitful because of many reasons.

You Will Get What You Will Pay For

In my content writing career, I have seen lots of people who pay pennies but expect to get high quality work. This will not only be derogatory to the writers, but will also show negative impact on the growth of content writing field. This condition is seen with most of the sub contractors. Few people take up high paying projects but they will just outsource the project to some others. For instance, if a person is getting 5 USD from client, he will outsource the work to some other person who is willing to write at 3 USD. He will in turn outsource the work to other writer who will work at 1 USD. In that way, the payment or compensation will get reduced through this hierarchy and the end writer who actually writes the article will be paid nothing but pennies. That is the reason why I am anti to such system. I encourage giving due respect and pay rates to writers who have real stuff and dedication.

If you are looking to outsource a project, make sure that the project will not get sub outsourced further. You can take care that the end writer is not some 5th or 6th person, but is just 2nd or 3rd person. This will enable you to get good quality and to make the writer feel that he gets right compensation. But when you are paying too less, keep in mind that you will get the same quality of work in return. But I don't say that you shouldn't pay less. You can pay less, but only when the pay rates are suitable to the work you allot. I always make sure that all writers in my team feel good about their pay rates and also about the respect they get for their work.

Huge Number of Writers Available, but there is Scarcity of Professional Writers

I would now like to discuss about finding the right writers for your content writing assignments. Earlier, I used to think that anyone with flair writing skills and English command, can write down articles or blogs. But it is not so. One should have right attitude, good thought process, and dedication for emerging as a writer, apart from having above mentioned skills. This I came to know very soon, after I have started writing articles and, more particularly after starting to hire writers.

Managing Writers is Difficult

Yes...I am back with a new post...I really mean what the title says. Managing team of writers is difficult, particularly when the writers are working on freelancing basis. I thought it would be easy to maintain a team of writers and take up better quality and quantity of works. But I am realizing that it is not so easy. But still, I am able to manage it in a good way. I attribute it to my team of writers, who are different from others. Today, I am able to get some projects, retain my customers/clients, and provide best quality work....all this has become possible because of my team. I am hoping to have still better time with my writers and in my profession...
